Health & Safety

I recommended that all dogs have a vet check before beginning any training or behavior program.
For private in-home sessions, dogs over 4 months old, are required to be current on their Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months old will need to have their first round of the DHPP vaccine. All vaccines must be administered by a licensed veterinarian and proof of vaccinations may be required to begin training.

There is always a risk of injury when working with animals, especially dogs with fear, anxiety or other behavior issues. We take safety very seriously. I ask that before I enter your home, your dog be on a leash with a properly fitted harness or collar, secured in another room or a crate, or behind a barrier (such as a baby gate or exercise pen). This is to reduce the risk of injury by bites, excited greetings, or other mishaps that may occur when your dog is anxious, nervous, or overly excited.
If your dog causes property damage, bites or injures any dog, animal or person (including but not limited to the trainer) during or after your training program, you the client, assume the risk and are responsible for any resulting injuries, losses, damages, costs or expenses.
